New Partnership for Exceptional Educational and Behavioral Services in Brevard
Able Academics will provide an educational and clinical behavioral health services program on behalf of Parrish Healthcare for children on the autism spectrum, or related conditions.
Where is the school located? The primary location is 2073 Garden Street, Titusville, FL 32796 (behind Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.) As the program grows, additional sites in Brevard County will be added.
How do I enroll my child? Call Able Academics at 321-888-3020 to schedule a tour and complete an application for the upcoming school year. Enroll by Aug. 2 in order to meet scholarship deadlines and reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
What ages will be served? Prekindergarten through adulthood
Does my child need to have a diagnosis of autism to be enrolled in the school? The primary program is based on the needs of individuals diagnosed with autism (autism spectrum disorder). However, enrollment of children with other diagnoses will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
What is the cost of educational services? School tuition is covered by a variety of scholarships with the Department of Education, including McKay, Gardner, Step Up, or private pay.
How do I sign up for these special educational scholarships? To apply for one of these scholarships, visit www.floridaschoolchoice.org.
What is the cost of behavioral services? These services are billed through the child’s insurance. Right now, Able is working with Medicaid, Title XXI, Tri Care, Aetna, Cigna (in process), and United Healthcare.
How do I obtain behavioral services for my child? Call Able Academics at 321-888-3020 to schedule a tour, initial evaluation, and to obtain assistance as needed in the navigation and authorization through your healthcare insurance.
What type of staff will work at the school? The educational staff includes special education teachers, teacher aides, and administrators.
The applied behavior analysis therapy staff is certified as: Behavior Aides (BAs); Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs); and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Board Certified Behavior Assistant Analysts (BCaBAs).
The teachers and therapists work together to meet the individual needs of the child by providing academic, behavioral and social-emotional support.
What is the teacher to student ratio?The teacher-student ratio is primarily 3-to-1. Ratios can be 2-to-1 or as low as 1-tot-1 based on the needs of each child.
What is your curriculum? Able Academics has created a curriculum program that follows the guidelines establish by the Florida Department of Education, utilizing both the Florida Content Standards and Florida Access Points Standards. You can learn more about the Florida Standards and Access Points at www.floridastandards.org. Our curriculum uses a wide variety of methods and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of our students. Our program includes instruction in the following:
· Core subject area, reading, mathematics, science, and social studies
· STEM classes weekly
· Enrichment classes, such as art, physical education, music, yoga
· Life skills classes, including cooking, cleaning, job skills, and daily living skills
· Social skills groups
Will my child receive a high school diploma? Yes, just like that of any private school in the State of Florida.
What are the school day hours of operation? 8 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Do you offer before and after school care?Yes, wrap-around services are from 7:30 a.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m., based on parent need.
What is the fee for before and aftercare?These fees areincluded in the overall program structure.
Is transportation available? We are actively exploring options. Please contact Able Academics if your child is in need of transportation.

Is the facility wheelchair accessible and able to accommodate physically impaired individuals? Yes
Will the adult program be five days a week? Yes

Do you offer lunch? Parents provide lunch and snacks for their child.
Are there community outings for educational purposes? Yes
Are functional life skills and self-help skills taught, like dressing and brushing teeth, etc.?Yes

What other enrichment classes are offered? Music, Art, Cooking (full commercial kitchen), Yoga,and other wellness classes
Will Speech, OT, PT be offered? Yes, therapists are welcomed in to the school to work with your child before, during or after the school day.
